At Rockhill LTC Pharmacy we believe in going that extra mile. We’ve done so by implementing higher expectations in our advanced chart and medication reviews. Reviews are performed by our Pharmacist & Pharmacy manager, Stacy Bell, not an RN consultant. It is our assertion that residents directly benefit from these improved reviews which include MARS, POS, nurses notes, labs, injection records, etc. Through these in-depth reviews, our Pharmacists are guaranteed to have a greater understanding of the residents and their needs. The result: Better medication utilization and administration.

CONSULTING SERVICES

At Rockhill LTC Pharmacy one of our strongest assets is its background in “Consult Pharmacy.” Our Director of Pharmacy, Stacy Bell, RPh, has 13 years of experience in consulting services and offers a wealth of pharmacy knowledge regarding state and federal regulations, as well as Disease State management. Our staff is trained in management of diseases like congestive heart failure, Osteoporosis, Depression, Pain Management, Incontinence, Asthma, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Stacy Bell is also a Missouri licensed individual provider of Disease State Management.

Maximizing results of medications through proper medication use is what we are all about. Our reviews go much deeper than just ensuring that a medication is given properly with regards to meal times. From the time of admission to in-house review, we will ensure that your residents’ medication use is maximized. Through advanced training, we have the ability to work with your physicians through Disease State Management Programs. We can recommend additions or changes to current therapies to provide as many preventative medication practices as possible. The result is positive patient outcomes related to medications and diseases.

MEDICATION SYSTEM DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

We have developed a system that ensures the accurate administration of ALL medications, not just the routine carded ones.

MEDICATION UTILIZATION TRACKING

Have you ever wondered if a patient was really getting their medications? The medication has been singed off as given on the MAR, yet something made you think that something else was going on? We have been there, and we have a solution. We can track the utilization of items such as ophthalmic medications, Inhalers and injections. If a supply was to last 25 days and its been 2 months since a refill request, and the MAR reflects that it has been given daily, there is obviously a problem. Would you want to be responsible for it? DOCUMENTATION AND ADMINISTRATION

By providing you with pre-printed admission forms, including the Physician Order Sheet and Medication Administration record, we save your staff the time of having to prepare these by hand. We have simplified the medication pass and decreased the chance of medication errors through the implementation of color-coded pass cards, making them more easily identifiable. And, at Rockhill LTC Pharmacy we utilize “Split Sig” technology with large, easy to read lettering, making our labels substantially more user-friendly.
